This is a personal talk of the moderator with the respondent, at the process of which the atmosphere of trust is achieved. This atmosphere allows to understand the real respondent’s desires, inside motivations, demotivating factors, attitudes, expectations and ideas about the subject of the survey. One of the in-depth interview’s advantages is its weak structure that turns the respondent to wider and more detailed answers. This method gives an opportunity to interview the respondents of the specific groups, the representatives of rare professions, receive the answers on a very broad range of issues, problems and tasks.
